If you are only watching TV/movies or for last gen or Switch gaming this is a great choice.

If you have a PS5/X or S or possibly want to use it as a gaming monitor, get the C1 (although be wary of burn in for PC use)

I got the same deal in December. Very happy with it.

1. I selected Showtime for my streaming credit. I got a $ 100 credit which payed the entire amount of the annual plan. You can't split the credits.
2. My main TV is a. 65 inch Samsung. Now I don't need to steal that from my wife when football is on.
3. Choosing the right setting is important. Overall, the Vivid setting works best for me.
4. A really big plus, the EARC connected instantly to my Sonos Beam. The Samsung doesn't play nice with many sound-bars. A miserable experience linking the Samsung to my Sonos Playbar.
5. I have no problem with brightness. My large window blinds are always open, but it is a condo on the north side, so no direct sun on the screen.
6. I don't game.

7. This is important. I was leaning to the 48 C1 for the nicer stand. As it turn out, the Sonos Beam fits perfectly between the legs. The cables go right under the legs, connecting to the soundbar, which hides the wires.

Price.

$ 799 less $ 100 streaming credit, less $ 50 Costco Card reduces real price to $ 649. Throw in the free Allstate warranty and you get 5 years of protection plus another 2 with the CC. Burn in is not covered, but I am a lot more concerned about a dead TV, and other issues. Factoring in the value of the warranty, you are getting the TV below $ 600, and another 4% less with the Executive membership and Costco CC.

For the price, get this A1. As prices drop, you can get another TV. You can always find a use for this sub $ 600 set. If it doesn't work for you, return it. It's not that big so returning it shouldn't be a problem.

Edit to previous comment.

Looks like the $ 50 gift card is not offered. That makes it an extra $ 50.

As for the $100 streaming credit, you can request Google play store credit and use it to purchase apps. (You cannot use it to purchase Pixel phone.)

The TV is very thin for the upper portion. Too thin -> made me worry damaging it just by handling it.

The sound was better than expected from a such a thin and small package.

I was looking at the c1 for a computer monitor, TV, etc. How bad is burn in? I thought there was a way to prevent or reverse that? The A1 for this price might be a much better deal. Most of the new TVs do not work great as a monitor due to the type of display, so I have been reading. Any thoughts?

LG is notorious for burn in. Can't watch sports can't watch news.
Lol I have 2 oleds, (C9 and a G1) and zero burn in. I've played dozens of hours of halo and other games with repetitive UIs. I'm not sure any of this stuff is "notorious"

Man is this it? What a deal. The 2022 ones will have the eye care feature and I want to put this in my bedroom so I think I'm going to hold out… but holy crap what a steal otherwise.

"notorious"? I have had an e6p since early 2017 with no issues. all manufacturers and tech are going to have some issues. Nothing in life is perfect. I think saying LG is notorious is quite an exaggeration. the shear number of oleds on the market and this is still being talked about like it's anything other than some minute fraction of the whole is disingenuous.

This comment lost all credibility once saying vivid is a valid setting.
