Also just an FYI that you can turn off the kid mode easily on these and it's a regular Kindle with a better warranty and case.
How do you do this? Looking to buy a Kindle for an adult

I'm curious why this is a good deal. I just replaced my 2nd generation with the 5th generation offered on Woot this week for $35. The old one developed an issue where the charging port was fickle and I was tired of messing with it to get a charge. The second generation only had a 2GB capacity and I had hundreds of books on it. I can't imagine anyone needing 32 Gigs if that is the biggest plus to buying one of these.
Well Virginia it sounds like you already got the right deal for you however others might be interested in wireless charging, or adaptive lighting, or 32 GB of storage for audiobooks and Manga.

There are three lines in the upper right of the home screen, which bring you to the options like Settings, etc. One of them will say Turn Off Kindle Kids or something similar. Sometimes the kids interface messes up and you have to turn it off and on again, and it's really just a couple of clicks. When it's off, it mirrors my regular kindle.

Manga really the only way to fill 32GB? I'm never that long away from wifi and not a huge fan of wireless. Easier to have a cable. Seems the smaller version would work.

8GB of ebooks is a lot of ebooks. So, yep, you'll be good unless you've got PDFs

Pretty much every aspect of this is better, most importantly, the screen is significantly larger, and the lighting is significantly better. If you actually read on a regular basis, and you don't hate your eyes, then it will certainly be worth the upgrade.

That being said, a lot of SD'ers are penny wise and pound foolish, so you'll probably just keep the old one and brag to everyone that you got it for $35.

For everyone asking about the storage capacity, the reason is that some people load their kindles up with audible books, which take up significantly more space than an ebook.

"But why would anyone put audio books on an e reader instead of their phone?"

Honestly, no clue, but people do.

I do because I read/listen at the same time. It allows me to focus and do highlighting easier

I don't think I'd be satisfied with anything less than 8 inches. I've bought and sold these since the beginning and they're only incrementally better and never big enough for manga.
