everyone has started adding tool batteries to tech&electronics>batteries - it's silly - if the battery is only for one make of tools it just needs to go under home>tools ... right?

Could be. My local store had limited stock online and showed $169 online. I went in and they had none but showed $149 and showed that another nearby store had six in stock.

First off, excellent on noticing the actual category tags Big Grin High Five Our QA team loves it when users do notice and especially when they add all the right ones lol

There's no real 'rule' on that though, since there is no actual category for batteries for power tools. Our QA team usually just puts it under the Drills & Power Tools sub-category that is under the main Tools category, but since the Tech & Electronics > Batteries is the only actual category that says batteries, users can put it there also if they wish since it has no other 'exact' home yet. (We'll try to get the powers that be to add a power tool batteries category but frankly they may not do it and even if they do, it likely won't be soon sorry Frown )

You did very well for your first post and thank you for posting the deal Big Grin As for using the Batteries category, that's ok, as long as you also add the Tools and/or Power Tools tags too, since we have no other batteries category yet.

Yes adding the wrong category or forgetting to add one can affect deal alerts, IF the user has a specific category alert. But otherwise it won't hurt anything too much by adding an extra category that seems to fit Wink
