Is there any big advantage going with the stainless steel version over this, especially with the price difference now?

I had one of those panasonics from 2005 iirc - gave it to my inlaws who are still using it to this day. They are built to last. I replaced it with a crappy instant vortex plus 10qt which looks very similar to this one and it turned out to be a mistake going with Instant brands. this insignia unit looks to be built much better as i havent seen any reports of the LCD screen failing (the instant vortex plus has this issue). Im still on the fence because ours works... Eventually it will be useless though once the LCD display completely goes out of

looks like its OOS on ebay now. available for pickup in store for me though. i'll probably pass at this point...

Thanks! I have an airfryer (basket style) but some things like toast is better with the Panasonic so was wondering if this style of airfryer will replace the need for two appliances.

Prices fluctuate from second to second online (see: Amazon).

Don't buy things you don't need or want, but the rule of thumb is that when you see something you might want and the vendor has a good return policy, but first and decide later.

any one will work. even aluminum foil paper would do the trick but it's not quite as convenient as a tray. You can even pick them up in the Dollar Tree store. I would suggest getting heavy duty ones cause they will last a long, long time and may be worth paying a bit more in the long run. Just make sure you get the size that will fit inside the air fryer.

Returned the $55 stainless steel one and got this instead. Actually liked the look of the full black vs the stainless steel door.
