The beeping on this machine is so incredibly loud, maybe the new model fixed that. Im glad mine got recalled because it was such a PITA.

I'm glad mine was recalled(53mss0) cause i paid 40 and they are refunding a minimum of 50, and after the novelty wore off, i hardly used it.

I have this…it still presents a fire hazard if you use sheets or liners that can curl up and hit the burner, and using the top row. Also removing the drip pan is a pain as it usually spills.
I haven't tried all the other dehydration and rotisserie features. If I buy another it will probably be one with a basket.

Thanks OP, just ordered. Our old Emerald 6.5L fryer died last week. We air fry quite often so my wife's been asking to look for a deal. This one fits the bill.

Interesting. Got this last time and it's recalled. They sent me a box to send it back.

Now I get to buy it all over again. Hope they fixed the issue! It's a good unit.

Pretty surprising these are showing up on the market so soon after the recall. Waiting for the credit on my, bin style, recently returned. Best Buy should have allowed a direct return, not this 3 month, repurchase credit, return. I want one that isn't potentially dangerous.

So I had another model that they recalled on the notice as well. When I logged into the Best Buy website the "same looking" air fryer was still being sold but the model number had changed. I'm guessing they must have changed whatever was causing the fire and kept the same design.

So loud! Like I don't know what the reason for an off notification being so loud and 5 times in a row.

Pro tip for anyone with this machine if you turn it off, then open and close the door the beeps will stop but I don't know if that increases fire risk since it immediately stops the fans. We've done this trick for a few years just to not have to listen to the beeps.

Switched to a NINJA air fryer that was recently on deal of the day, so much quieter and better. Fits large frozen pizzas like a champ

They really handled the recall poorly, I hardly ever shop at Best Buy anymore with all the changes they've done and forcing their overpriced total tech crap plan has made me avoid them so much.
