At this point, $99 is the normal price. It's been like that for at least 6 months.

Yeah, returned my black Friday one when it was $70. It's not good.

Those who got it for Black Friday, how has this tablet been treating you?
Overall I like it. However, my expectations were extremely low. It's a consumption machine and nothing more. If that's all you need then it'll work fine.

I got one of these in the last round and I'm pretty happy with it for basic tasks - I use it mostly for web browsing/shopping, moonlight game streaming, and occasional movies. It's been great for those and I keep all apps closed if I'm not using them. It's not super fast but for 100$ I'm happy. I really like that it runs chrome extensions such as Adblock which makes browsing so much better than my old fire tablet

This same as Lenovo Duet?
Yes, as the low end one (not the 8Gb), same screen/processor/internals but it doesn't come with the keyboard and the shell is much thicker and sturdier (aimed at kids / education environment).

I bought this in December for $79, got CB from the R and PayPal, so it was about $70 with tax.
For that price it has been fine. It is much thicker and heavier than my ancient Sony 10" tablet. Has decent bezels to hold it by, although not as big as the Sony has.
Performance is better than the 8 year old Sony, especially start up time.
But it is strange to use at times.
Switching between open tabs and apps is a pain.
Waking from sleep always pops up the Gboard, instead of the Lock Screen keyboard. You can't type in the gboard that pops up!
You must then press the power button for a couple of seconds to get the real keyboard to come up. Did a power wash, and that didn't fix this issue.

This needs a light sensor! It doesn't dim automatically, so I have to fiddle with the brightness all the time.
But, it does run my Android cookbook app, which was my primary purpose for getting this. I use it way more than the crappy $300 iPad we have.
My Chargie app will not work on it. It can't ever find and connect to the Chargie to limit the charge level to 80%
I try not to charge any of my devices over 80% unless absolutely necessary.
That is one of my biggest gripes.

They say it's "Ready to Ship" but I'm still waiting on one that was ordered 1/23
Almost the same, ordered 1/25. And I just cancelled it last week because processing took so long.

Got this back in December for $80. For what it is, it's not a bad price, but there's a little more motion blur than I would like when watching videos/live streams.

However it performs in other respects, 400nit IPS, & wuxga on a 10.1" is impressive for $100!
none of that matters when the UI lags noticeably with every action. not saying it does on this one, but i have a galaxy tab a that collects dust for this reason. cheap tablets are just paid-for-frustration

32GB seems like an excessive amount of RAM for a tablet. Are you going to realistically going to edit video on this or something?
That's internal storage. This tablet only has 4GB RAM.

Just an FYI, ordered 1/29. Still hasn't shipped and received an email today stating that they don't know when it will ship. Called customer "care" and they said they couldn't give an expected ship date. So doesnt seem to be in stock

I bought this tablet because I like to waste money and seeing a tablet deal on SD is something I have a hard time ignoring. All that being said, I struggle with what I think this tablet is good at. It's slower than every recent Samsung Android tablet I have and without the keyboard case it doesn't feel like a good Chromebook experience compared to a now 3 year old Dell Chromebook we have that we use all the time.

I probably need to shell out the $30 for the Lenovo keyboard case just to see if that makes it better.
I bought the tablet along with the keyboard when they were on sale couple months ago. The keyboard connection is terrible if you are moving the tablet around in any way. If it is stationary on a flat surface like a desk then the connection should be stable once you get it to connect. Otherwise, any small movement of the screen and the keyboard pins will lose their connection to the tablet. Pretty damn frustration if you ask me. I would wait for a better keyboard case or if Lenovo comes out with some kind of fix for theirs.

I have this tablet. I have a question about its functionality. Sometimes when the keyboard is attached, I get more like a Windows experience (multiple windows can be on the screen at the same time, resized, etc and the "desktop" is empty of icons), but other times, it looks more like the typical Android experience (multiple apps can be open at the same time, but split screen and the home screen is full of icons). I can't seem to figure out how to get a consistent experience with the keyboard. Does anyone know why this is? Thanks!
Yes this confused me as well. I've narrowed it down to it being determined if a keyboard connection is present when the screen/tablet is powered on. The physical keyboard connection pins are terrible so you don't really know if the keyboard is really "connected" and functional until you press key. So if the desktop shows all the app icons they keyboard is probably not seen as "connected".

This v/s Amazon fire HD 10 for $109, which one is better? I see this has chrome OS v/s android on the Amazon tablet. What else?
While it appears that both has the same CPU:MT8183, Amazon Fire HD10 has 8 Core CPU and this one has Quad Core CPU. There must be two versions of MT8183. I would wait and buy Fire HD10 when it become cheaper.

I keep seeing this talk of MT8183 being slow, but I have a Lenovo 100e with MT8173C and it's fine.

Still looking forward to MT8192.
