Pair it with a portable monitor and you've got a Silicon Valley café nerd's dream setup right there
The cost of a portable monitor would be enough to get a M1 MacBook Air.

Watch videos of m1 mac mini vs m1 macbook air bench marks. When the processor heats up in the macbook, cpu performance slows down to conserve battery. Mac mini always win on benchmarks that requires long sustain CPU use.

I have that setup, the thunderbolt cable going to the portable monitor provides power, video & cable so you don't need 3 different cables going to the monitor.

This model has issue with Bluetooth. Please ignore if you use dongle.
The Mac Mini with M1 or any M1 devices? I have no issues with my M1 MBA.

Seems like Bluetooth issues with the latest OS.

HDMI 2.1, M1x, new bluetooth, more ports, 10gb ethernet, 4k 120 4:4:4, and 16gb in upgraded models to be released in March. I dream.

New model is due soon. Check the usual news sites for rumors. 8gb RAM has never been a problem for me doing heavy office type work and light analytics with Google Docs, Excel, and R. Even xcode is acceptable on my small personal projects but that's really the usage where I would prefer to have 16gb.

Longtime Windows user who picked up this model from Costco at Christmas. I have not had a single issue related to Bluetooth. Using both mouse and keyboard via Bluetooth. Also have not had any issues with 8gb. M1 has been very impressive so far. Most intensive things I have used have been Cura and Blender, but no issues.
