Very YMMV on this 2020 model clearance...
Costco has the 2021 Model for $899.99 w/ a 3 yr mfg warranty
https://www.costco.com/vizio-65%2...35548.html
and Amazon has the 2021 model for $899, which BB will price match...

I have wanted the Hisense 65U8G for awhile, especially after seeing it listed on Rtings as one of the top gaming TV's of 2021…

I was waiting for it to drop to $900 on sale but I couldn't hold out any longer and bought one this past weekend for $999.99 plus tax because I had a $100 dollar Best Buy gift card and my local Best Buy actually had two in stock (tough to find them in-store in the Chicagoland area). You will not be disappointed. The TV is amazing and the picture looks nicer than my $999.97 dollar 65 inch Samsung 2021 The Frame on clearance from CostCo.

This looks like a great price at $840 so you probably can't go wrong with either but if you have a little more money to spend, you can't go wrong with the Hisense.

I was about to pull the trigger on this until I saw the super poor viewing angles. šŸ˜•. My use case is for kids that never sit still

Your kids would complain about viewing angles? I mean, I might, but I can't imagine my kids noticing something like that.

The picture on this is great out of the box. Plenty bright and works well even with large windows reflecting from behind the seating area. Has most flagship features like a 120hz panel, local dimming, HDMI 2.1. The built it OS is very basic (no App Store) but is quick and snappy and had all major apps you would expect. My only complaint would be the the buggy OS. It's solid 97% of the time, but has the occasional crash. OR Vizio will push an update and break something (ie airplay was broken for over a month but was eventually fixed)

Maybe not, but they're toddlers. I meant more that they are never in one spot and always running all over the room lol. I figured I should at least try to match up the use case for their sake.

It only dropped to $899 once so far and that was Braidmart or whatever, price matched with BB Smilie

Picture quality is great. If you only plan to use it using built in apps in it will be great. If you intend for it to work with other devices like Xbox, Roku, or soundboard including Vizio soundbars, save your self the headache and get some thing else. Vizio's support is horrendous and firmware updates are buggy. I have had great luck with previous Vizios but I think I am done with them for now. Read some of threads on the official Vizio Reddit before you decide.

I bought a Visio TV for Black Friday 2019 and I'll never do it again. Since purchasing the TV, software updates have ruined it. It will exit from watching a show in Netflix to show me full screen advertisements for Apple TV. The sound bar and speaker turn on at the same time despite being set to auto and create this echoing sound. I have to turn the Tv speakers off to make it stop which reboots the TV. The horrible update experience and adding ads to the TV a year after purchase is gonna keep me from ever buying Visio again. I would look elsewhere.

I've used a Nvidia Shield for years now. It's basically the end-all streaming device. This allows you to concentrate on picture quality above everything. I have a 65 inch Vizio Quantum X and it's been perfect with my Shield.
