5.25 lbs is not light in any modern sense. This is a heavy lump.

We bought these specs from BestBuy 13 days ago.
It has exceeded our expectations. (Win11 S mode disabled and 64GB micro sd installed)
Fingers crossed it ages well.

LG Gram 17" is 2.98lbs, bruh. 5.25 lbs is lead brick in comparison, bruh. This thing is great if you have it in on a desk and then in a bag once a day, sure. But if you want to move it from plac to place in the house, it sure as heck isn't "light & portable" by modern standards, bruh. Also .96" thick is not thin, bruh. It's thick, bruh. So OP needs to do some rewording, bruh. Thick, heavy and sorta portable, bruh.

The good news is, it's got upgradeable RAM, but it doesn't charge from USB-C.

Oh, and HDMI 1.4b.

This is a backup computer or a kid's desktop replacement computer, not a main computer.

The smartass troll comments didn't help, but I don't disagree with the content.
This beast is for the desktop, not for portability.
Over 5 pounds sucks to haul around through airports and on trains all day.
Almost an inch thick is crazy, as if 20 years ago and be able to accommodate a full thickness 3.5" drive.
It is also a price difference of like $900 between the two units...

Comparing an LG Gram from a $329 17" laptop is apples & oranges. Many seniors are in for a low-priced 17" latest 11th gen i3/1080p/8gb/256gb/win 11 as a desktop replacement that will last them a long time without breaking the bank.

Yes there's a niche for an LG gram but this thread ain't for you. Go poop somewhere else bruh.

Note to OP: thanks for posting this deal. Repped!

The fact that it's a modern 17" laptop for under $350 is amazing in itself, as that's what you pay for chromebooks. It doesn't need to be super light like an XPS or Gram because those cost significantly more and are not in the same comparison. Not to mention no one lugs around a 17 inch laptop so I disagree with your content.

Nice specs for the price.
I disagree with the a bit unhinged bruh poster.
This would be fine for most people. Most people could also carry this on a daily basis. However if I needed something for daily moving around, I'd get a 14/15 sized laptop. For more money though..
