yes, this is the new version:

https://smile.amazon.com/Castrol-...09M982T3B/

frankly, without starting a debate, any decent full synthetic in the $10-$20 range is fine enough for everday use if changed regularly. but if you have an exotic or luxury car, you'll probably want something with european specs.

Good deal. Even the Walmart in-house brand is now $20. Then again, what hasn't increased in price.

You don't get a discount for 'no tomatoes,' but you always pay more for 'extra cheese.'

Awesome. I hate paying a lot of money for oil because my car takes about 4 quarts and I get stuck with 1/5 filled bottles every time.
Not after you buy 5 though!

As of today, it is a good deal. Cannot beat $12 for 5 qt, but no where you can find it now. Great find. Ordered 6.

It has been at this price for most of the past year...so it's not exactly a clearance. It's definitely lower cost but not exactly a special deal.
I tracked this daily as I use it. I haven't seen this price for many months.

Man tell me about it 😂😂😂 I loved when the super tech oil was a little less than $15, I should've stocked up before the inflation!

does motor oil degrade over time from storage?

At least for the 5W-30, it's been at this price for most of the past year.
Maybe I'm not understanding this deal.
Ummm $16.97<$19.96. Understanding now?

The camels show that it has been around the $19 mark without S/S for a while now. I've casually checked oil a few times in the last few months and ran into this price but held off on buying it since I didn't need it.

haven't seen many under $20 full synthetic oil deals lately. was planning to do an oil change next week and came across this:

alternatively, for those who prefer pennzoil over castrol, there's this deal at walmart:
Which is better? I've always used Mazda 0W-20 in my car, but this is quarter of the price, so may go with it.

Yes, but isn't S&S always available for this product?

frankly, unless you are running an exotic or luxury car, either will do so long as you change your oil regularly. it's a matter of convenience more than brand at this price. some people live close to a walmart, others prefer amazon delivery to their door. others have walmart membership too. take your pick and change it out before 7500 miles and you'll be fine with either.

Thank you. Just realized that it is actually just under half of the price of the Mazda 0W-20 full synthetic, so I'll probably stick with the Mazda one. $25 once a year will not kill my budget. Also, with the Mazda oil, I use it fully (within an ounce or so) -- with the 5-qt jug I'll have a lot of leftover.

not it's wasn't, i was checking daily for a few weeks now. s&s just came back today. what i don't understand is if you go by camel alone, and not actually watching all 3 prices on the page itself, you've no idea, what's it's actually been. camel doesn't track s&s either. your own screenshots show a huge spike in prices from september to january with a temporary drop back in november to december. that's 2 months out of 6 months at $20 w/o s&s

Thanks OP. Needed a couple more jugs. Would like cheaper with a rebate but seems like that won't be happening soon this year so I'll take what I can get. Not bad really even for no rebate!

a QUARTER of the price? You are paying $70 for 5 gallons of "Mazda oil"?
