THIS^^ and as a proud owner of an 82Q70T, I can tell you that the newer Q70A was one of the rare times in recent years the newer TV was actually better (FML).

IMO... the X90J is a slight step up... it adds more HDR brightness and local dimming. It's personal preference as to whether that's worth the extra $200 (75"). The 2021 Q7 series is more comparable to the 2021 X85J series which is currently $100 less on Amazon. Unfortunately, the X85J isn't carried by the warehouse clubs.

7.4 on the Samsung vs 8.1 on the Sony - Sony seems stronger, but look at the areas that are important to you and the content you watch. Two small overlooked areas are the black capability and reflection. Make sure the room you are putting it in fits the need. Lots of windows, may want a less reflective screen.
