Oh they are tricky tricky with their descriptions. As someone who has an Asian wife, the stainless rice cooker is a must, but the pot has to be stainless, the outside doesn't matter. We went through a dozen or so of these 'non-stick' versions before getting a cheaper stainless pot one, which has lasted us 8 years so far, and showing absolutely 0 signs of wear. And we literally use it daily, at at the very least, every other day.

In reviews on Amazon, it splatters. My countertop is cluttered. Do you have issue cleaning countertop after each use?

Only if you don't rinse the rice, or if you use brown rice, or over-fill it. Other than that it makes it to the lid, and that's as far as it goes. It has never hit the counter, with one exception - one time I tried to make rice pudding in it - that made a huge mess, but just just cooking rice, never.

Is ARC-753SG the one you recommend?
It doesn't have a separate brown rice setting and lacks a delay timer, both of which I use often.

I like the Aroma ARC-914D with separate brown rice setting and also delay timer. Unfortunately it's not stainless steel. The nonstick interior wears off and they don't sell the pot separately.
