This depends entirely on what you're doing with it. The C-series has basically become a gaming display at this point. The noteworthy addition being full HDMI 2.1 support, 120hz, and VRR. If you are (or ever intend) to connect your TV to a high-end PC or modern game console, absolutely, without question, the C1 is worth the extra money.

If you are strictly watching TV and movies, those differences mean nothing. You'll never utilize them. The A1, despite being HDMI 2.0, supports eARC so you're maintaining the same compatibility regarding passing lossless audio. The only meaningful difference here that I'm aware of is that the C1 gets a little bit brighter, which is going to make for better viewing in bright rooms and slightly punchier HDR. Given that the A1 will still look outstanding, I'm not sure the extra $400 just for slightly better HDR is worth it. If you are viewing in a bright room, you may find the C1 the better buy, but otherwise, if you aren't a gamer, I would not hesitate to get the A1 at this price.

If you are going to spend 1400, you might as well spend 400 more and get C1 or a similar OLED from LG or Sony, to be somewhat future proofed

I thought the whole point of buying TVs from Costco was their incredible electronics warranty?
Why the Allstate warranty?

I saw the 65" A1 at my local Sam's Club last week on clearance. It was a floor model only. I asked about a discount for the floor model and they marked it down to $860 for me.

After going through the menu looking at the panel health details and such, I ended up passing. There is a Sam's ad that sits in the corner of all of their TVs and is on ALL DAY.

While $860 +tax was an amazing price, even for a budget OLED, I figured it wasn't worth spending over $900 on a TV with a huge risk for burn-in from being a display.

That said, the TV looked great and I'd love to have it for my basement as the only real knocks on it are for use in a bright room and with gaming. None of which are a concern for that room for me.

If you buy using Costco Citi Visa card, the warranty is first 2 years from manufacturers (1 year extra warranty due to Costco) + next 2 years from Citi Visa cards + last 3 years from allstates, so you get 7 years warranty. You may choose to not get Allstate warranty, but my TVs have generally shown issues around 5 year mark. It used to be square trade earlier instead of Allstate, when I got a replacement tv with no hassles.

Costco's site indicates that the total coverage is for 5 years. Quote "Year 1 & 2 - Manufacturer warranty and Costco Concierge. Allstate enrollment provides additional coverage for Years 3, 4 and 5."

I picked up the 55" version as an open box unit from Best Buy a few weeks ago for $900. It was a risk, but so worth it. I was a bit concerned with burn-in since it was a floor model. Buying it sight unseen, I had no idea what had been displayed on the screen. My concerns were alleviated when I turned it on, though. The TV automatically put itself thru two pixel cleaning cycles before I was able to actually use it. I don't know why the TV did what it did, but I really did breathe a sigh of relief.

Yeah but $400 more is 29% more. If you aren't planning on gaming or watching a ton of sports, this model would be a better pick imo. Saving 29% means you are obligated to use it 29% less (and switch it out to newer model faster)
