The deals on Samsung sucks. They are only offering $400 for my Note 10+ while T-Mobile will give me the full $1000 off trading it in. So Samsung is significantly more expensive for most if they don't have an S21 or Note 20 to trade in. Even adding on edu or other discounts it's still crazy expensive on there.
You do realize how this works, right? TMobile is giving you $1000 after 24 months of taking your money for service. They're MAKING money on you and your service plan for those 24 months. You expect Samsung to just hand over $1000 to you for your crappy old phone for nothing in return?

If I currently have a T-Mobile S21 with 12 EIP payments left, but I'm getting bill credits that cover those payments, can I trade in the S21 for an S22 and have those credits continue plus have new credits covering the S22 payment? Or do I need to payoff the S21 out of pocket?

Oh I totally know that but I'm not one that had a problem with two-year contracts back in the day either. I have to get cell service from someone and as long as I'm happy with the price and the coverage area I'm okay with locking myself into 24 months with a carrier.

My issue now is when I used to sign contracts for reduced cost high quality phones, I could keep my old phone and then sell that to recoup some of the cost of the subsidized phone price which generally was $100 or $200. Now I'm having to turn in a phone I could sell for probably $500 to get $1,000 worth of credit. That is some straight up BS because even though they said they would reduce prices of service when contracts went away they never really went down enough to make it even to when There were contracts and you were getting an extremely reduced price phone without trade in.

In my opinion Yes if you are okay locking yourself into T-Mobile for 2 years. Also providing you can keep your same service plan or if you have to move you are not increasing your cost of your service by doing so.

Well first off are you an old Sprint customer that still uses sprint.com for billing? If so you should be able to get that deal as long as you click upgrade to one of your lines and say you are trading in the phone you're using currently which in my case was a note 10 plus. It worked just fine for me. Now if you're on T-Mobile's website I don't think you get the offer unless you move to Magenta Max from what I'm reading but I can't play around with the T-Mobile site because I'm not on that billing system yet

I have been a tmo customer for well over a decade. I am not on magenta max, and since I'm on a military plan, I can't change it through the website either. It looks like I'll have to head to a store to do anything near $1000 to change plan and phone. Thanks for the response.

This won't have all the other freebies like buds and stuff though right?

You essentially trade the $200 Samsung credit that can only be used on accessories and the lower trade in values for the higher trade in value and no accessory credits at Tmobile

I have 8 lines on tmobile one plus for $100 a month. They can kiss my butt before I go to magenta plans.
Well how many of those lines are free. I have seen people with MM with 9 lines for less than 100, because only 2 lines are paid.

Cmon you can't compare contract plans from like 10 years ago to now. Everything is different, plus there's inflation. Was your internet as fast as it is now? Maybe you don't care but others do. Plus phones are a lot more expensive now (because the technology is much better).

I got 10 lines on Simple Choice (all have been upgraded free to Unlimited 5G and 4GB hotspot) for $120 a month. Last year T-Mobile offered S21 free $800 off with a Galaxy S9 trade in. Bought 4 off eBay for $150 each paid $60 for the taxes on the S21 so I got 4 S21 for $210 each this year they offer $400 off with an S10e. Yep no thanks lol that would cost me $200 to buy an S10e plus 400 + $60 taxes. So $660. The price the S21 will cost in 2 weeks. I'll stick with my Pixel 6 I got for $150.
The OP says s10e gets 800. Am I reading this wrong? Do you even have Magenta max?

There are freebies? I think you just get a credit for whatever accessories you want at Samsung from what I saw but honestly I would much rather just have that amount of money off the phone versus having to be forced to buy accessories I don't need or want.

Lol!
I'm on Simple Choice still with 10. They are offering only half the credit. Pathetic.
I made the switch from SC na to magenta max. I went from paying 130 to 134 with insider hookup. Then I added bogo and the bill will actually lowered to 128.The Netflix alone is worth the switch. These mm only deals seals the deal.
