Had to jump start my wife's car last night and started looking for some alternatives. Found this on Costco and seems to get mostly positive reviews. Normally $59.99, but on sale for $39.99. Although it states support up to 4.0L gas engines, the reviews seem to say no for V8's. But, if in doubt, there's always Costco's return policy to fall back on. Expires 2/11/2022

Heck, my wife made fun of me when I bought one for her car a few years ago. She sort of patiently watched me show her how to use it before I put it in her trunk. A few months later she had a dead battery when she was out and about. AAA said they could be there in 45 minutes. Thankfully she remembered how to use it (it's easy) and was back on the road in minutes. She has sung it's praises ever since.

Look at this one on Walmart, it even has an A/C port 100W inverter built in! You could use it to power a tire inflator, cellphone, portable fridge etc. for $59. That's definitely worth the extra $19 cost.

With over 350,000,000 people in the country sure the percentage of people who find themself in this situation may be fairly low however it would easily still be in the millions.
Last week i could have used one of these and it would have saved me a 2 mile walk to work it also would have saved me from being late to work it also would have saved me from having my car vandilized while it sat on the side of the road while i was at work.
I will never drive anywhere again without something like this
However, it still did the job by holding the metal contact with hand. I was about to contact their customer service but figured out the company no longer in business. Costco probably will take returns, or can be easy fix by replacing clips myself. Amazon has clips for $5/ea
