About this game:
- A delightfully cute action adventure RPG with farming and crafting - Armed with sword, bow and spellbook, fight against a rising darkness threatening the world. Plunder dungeons in search of relics and resources.
- Welcome to the world of Kitaria - A peaceful land where nature lives in harmony - until now. As the wildlife around Paw Village becomes increasingly aggressive, The Empire has called upon you to investigate and defend its citizens.
- Real-time Combat - Wield melee weapons, bows and forge new spells. Kit your loadout in a way which suits your preferred style of battle and craft magic, weapons and armour which compliment your play style.
- Learn an ancient magic - when an age-old Spellbook comes into your possession, use it to learn a kind of magic long-ago outlawed by the Empire - and give you the edge in combat!
- Gather, Craft and Farm! - Kitaria is packed with resources for you to use to your advantage! Slay monsters for ingredients, plant seeds and tend to your crops for provisions.

The character's walking animation doesn't match the speed they seem to be moving. Combat is basically spam the Y button and occasionally dodge. I'm not sure if deeper into the game enemies lose the enemy damage zone and actually makes you pay attention to their movements Monster Hunter-style. Also it's very obvious this game was made by furries if the cover art wasn't enough to go by. Be careful you don't open menus midbattle because enemies will keep attacking you, this means when you need to eat food to heal you need to time when you do this or move to safe location. Kinda reminds me of the old Android game called Zenonia.
The protagonist is "Nyan von Whiskers". No, you don't choose your gender and no, you don't get to rename yourself. You can, however, change your fur's appearance to various other cat colors. Not sure how to change clothing yet because the protagonist design is so bloody ugly. Steam has this game and DLC for outfits, so I guess we get them eventually.
Local co-op is pretty neat feature but I can't test it out atm. According to reviews online, local coop involves connecting a second controller. With the Steam version, you use Steam remote play. I think it's peer-to-peer based?
I think it's a great game to play with family at least. Good for kids. The characters and plot are quite light hearted.

Oddly the list price for digital is only $20, and as someone else said it's on sale for $15.
There is also a digital "Deluxe" edition apparently includes ~$15 in DLC that is not included with the physical cartridge. It's normally $25 and on sale for about $19.
If you prefer (or don't mind!) digital, it's a better deal to get the Deluxe or Standard digital editions.
