Razer mice are great. Their Synapse software is hot garbage. It works, but requires an account setup, has to be running constantly or the mouse reverts to Rainbow RGB, mines your data, and it's resources intensive. Luckily, OpenRGB supports these mice. If you get one, I recommending getting your profiles setup in Synapse (you can save everything but the RGB to the mouses memory), then uninstalling Synapse and installing OpenRGB. They don't allow Synapse to save the RGB to force you to run their software constantly so they can mine your data and sell it. Most RGB software does this. I know data privacy is pretty much non-existent nowadays (phones, browsers, OS, etc), but every component company has their own RGB/data mining software that use up valuable computer resources. If OpenRGB supports your RGB hardware, you can consolidate all those programs into one lightweight program that is open source and doesn't mine your data. Rant over.
Not a gamer, but can I program those 11 buttons for photoshop and premiere?

My second Corsair mouse started double clicking so I've been looking at the deathadders with optical switches for a few days now. Anyone have experience on the longevity of these mice?

dont have the mouse, but there should be a program dedicated to the mouse, where you can set keybinds to each individual button. They may not correlate/correspond to photoshop, but as long as you can set keybinds to your photoshop stuff, then set your mouse to those corresponding keys, i dont see a problem

hope i made sense

Rubber pads fell off my deathadder elite a few months in.... wheel is malfunctioning at 2 year mark. I got my moneys worth but I think I'll try a different brand next time. The bloatware is terrible also.

YMMV on the basilisk hyperspeed. The one I got constantly disconnects and lots of other people are also complaining about it disconnecting/freezing.

I have been on the Basilisk X Hyperspeed roughly 3 months now. For the price it is great. Connectivity is good not great and my battery life is also amazing. I have yet to replace batteries because it goes into "sleep" when unused for periods of time. As far as connectivity goes I have had a handful of potential "disconnect" issues but it picks back up in 2-3 seconds. It has not been a consistent problem. People complain but it's a solid $35 mouse, 99% of us arent pro gamers and are not going to spend hundreds on professional mice, a disconnect for 5 seconds every month really isnt a big issue imo at this price point.

Also this is constantly at $35 so is it really a deal when it pops up at this price almost every other week? Just saying...

Razer software is bloated, intrusive trash. Will never buy any Razer product.

Agreed, Logitech is no better. They are all falling over each other to make it a worse experience

I have mixed opinions of the wireless basilisk mouse. I had to return the first one I got because the "sleep" functionality kept becoming a problem, even after adjusting it in the synapse software. Amazon was quick to send another one to me and that one is still having issues with sleep but not as often.

It will drive you nuts when it does happen and you're in the middle of working or playing a game. I've had it happen on a zoom call and awkwardly couldn't move my mouse during a live presentation was quite embarrassing!

The mouse itself is great if it weren't for the buggy sleep programming. Even after FW update it still behaves this way. There is a reason why this is 35 bucks.
