I always had issues with random connection drops. Also don't like that I can't split out the 2.4 and 5ghz channels. It's all combined.

Switched over to a Asus Ax86U and things work great now.

If incorrect was a person. Congratulations. But no, they actually work excellent with any assistant. Now as far as functionality, these are more efficient as far as responsiveness, control and coverage. Currently my home has the main house 2 stories with 2,600sqf. Detached garage with back porch area of 1600 approx. The connectivity inside the garage is good at 200mbps over wifi. Once you pass the garage door to the (leaving the home) you start getting decreased speeds of 20mbps and 30mbps. Inside the home is consistent with 975mbps over wifi with 1g service.

The Deco has given me a consistent 450 to 380 over wifi and the coverage is not as efficient, however the back porch gets good enough wifi to stream or play music for get togethers.

Which deco system did you have? I ordered the deco x68 to replace my orbi system. I also have a detached garage but need Ethernet ports for some cameras.

I bought Deco AX5700 from the Costco to replace these. Less latency and get better speed. Google wifi blows. Stay away.

Is this backward compatible with the old Google AC1200 system? I would like to add those to this system.

i ran asus ai mesh for years before switching over to a nest mesh. difference is stability. i've been using it for a year and haven't even thought about it. with ai mesh i'd have some random drops that i had to debug and figure out. needless to say i'm not going back
