If you ever need to replace a door... a cabinet door.. a room door.. put a new doorknob in..

You can route out a nice perfect cut out for the hinges, strike plates. If you ever build a work bench, route out the edges so they are not sharp. Same for any table or edge you have that might be too sharp.

Lots of uses for an ordinary home owner.

Yup, that's the only item left on my list. I never see any decent deals on them. I'm guessing they're still so popular that there's no need to put them on sale.

Thanks. I buy them for Christmas presents for kids that are just starting. Also having an additional router speeds things up by having a dedicated trim router.

i have a porter cable 18v system i bought as a kit 4 years ago. I don't have any issues with it, but do wish I had more tools that are not available in that line.

How are ryobis compared to porter cable?

If you have the drill already, I'd probably go with this kit.
