You're adding a 4ah battery, and the impact which are two very important pieces in my opinion. Reciprocating saw and the flashlight are just a bonus at that point.
I can try to replace the chuck on the DeWalt to see if that fixes the slipping issue if I get the kit you linked to
5.5a $24 on eBay.

However, if the dewalt is your only battery powered tool and it's already old and on its way out and you want to start anew, I'd buy the kit with the drill. I personally bought the $200 brushless kit the other day, but the $70 one you're talking about it just fine to start with.
The only reason I wouldn't recommend the kit I posted in my original comment is that it only has the impact driver. That thing has a 1/4" chuck and only accepts hex bits. If you need to use a 3/8" drill bit that is round in shape, you need a regular old drill, preferably 1/2" chuck but 3/8" will do most work you'd need.
5-Tool Combo Kit w/ 2x 1.5 Ah Batteries + 18V Charger + Bag (PCK311KN) $129
Or brushless for $199?

Impact wrench - big square lug looking thing at the end, takes sockets. Usually used for automotive (lug nuts, stuck rusted bolts, etc.)
Impact driver - usually with a hex quick release. Smaller. Used for fasteners, etc.
Can buy adapters and use a wrench as driver (as long as you don't shear the crap out of the fastener) or the driver as a wrench (as long as it has enough power).
For the longest time, I didn't even know what an impact driver did. Wife is in insurance/construction, and always had subs do all house repairs etc. (for cheap or free because of her position). One day I had to ask her coworker what an impact driver was, and why not just a drill.
I slowly started to do some work here and there and picked up an impact driver. It's like a caveman who discovered fire.
Deal is dead but as someone who is just filling out their tool box, drill, impact driver, recip saw, circular saw are my favorites. Oh and I love the tiny cute blower. We have gardeners so I don't do yard work, but it's great for blowing stuff in the garage (without dust blowing everywhere) and quick cleanups outside. Oh and the tire inflator combo unit.
I'm dying for a deal on a multi-tool. And then the little toolbox shop vac for quick cleanups (and I don't need the long run time of a corded shop vac). And then a jig saw and I should be good ... for now.
