I have gotten cheaper mounts like this one in the past. As long as its metal and is secure, I dont really see where the justification of such an increase in price comes from.

I personally think its like monster HDMI cables. They will try to sell you the cable/mount where you buy the tv, but you can buy one that is exactly the same quality for a fraction of the price. At the end of the day its just 3 pieces of metal engineered to hang a TV on. Add the fact that most new TVs these days are super thin/light, any mount should suffice as long as its installed properly.

It's a mount. Does what it says it does.

It's worth noting that those screws on the bottom that 'lock' the tv to the mount are pretty much impossible to tighten once the tv is mounted. It's a small drawback of the low profile design but usually inconsequential.

Unless I'm doing it wrong, the only way to tighten them once the tv is up would be with a really long screwdriver, longer than many homeowners would have on-hand, I assume.
You have to use a long extention bit or long screwdriver to screw them down

I got one like this last year for like 11$ it does the job but almost impossible to plug in hdmi plugs if the ports are on the back facing down. I would suggest plugging everything in before hanging it up
Agreed, get one that's similar but adds ability to extend from the wall just for the purpose of plugging in cables is well worth it. They're not this price point but an extra $20 for not getting pissed at plugging in cables is a win.
Then again, if you're going with a smart TV and everything is streamed, then might not matter cause you got nothing to plug in?

Awesome, I was in the market for one of these for the bedroom wall... needed a wall mount, but only cared about tilting up and down to avoid glare from the ceiling light. This looks low profile and flexible about stud placement.

Just a notion of whether it's 37" or 70"

Some people might have either freebie TVs that they just need to Mount since most people get rid of the stands if they mounted initially

If it was free then why spend hundreds?
Just being open to that not all 70" has the sticker price of 4k qdoled

I have this mount and the straps that hang are quite annoying but needed to release the tv from the mount.

Interesting thread but according to the pictures, this mount has quick disconnects, not lock down screws.

It has both but it's pretty secure without screwing the screws in place. For the pull strings I just throw them over the top of the bracket so they aren't visible.

I was almost thinking about buying a second cause it's really easy as long as you have a drill and stud finder but I want my next to pull outward.
