"Isolated branched-chain amino acid intake and muscle protein synthesis in humans: a biochemical revi... [nih.gov]"
The whole thing is a great read, but to cite specific sections:
"Muscle protein synthesis in response to isolated intake of 5.6g of BCAA or placebo following resistance physical exercise was recently investigated in humans (young, fit men). Within 4 hours, muscle protein synthesis was 22% higher in the treated group as compared to the placebo group"
This means BCAAs play a statistical role in muscle growth, and then they go on to point out that muscle growth improves significantly if pairs with whey protein consumption.
They also point out that the IOC is equivocal, or neutral and without a stance on BCAAs. But the IOC is highly corrupt and biased as it is, so that's hardly a surprise that they abstain or offer inconsistent positions.
Additionally,
"Recommendations combined resistance physical exercise and daily consumption of 1.6g to 2.2g/kg of body mass of complete, high quality EAA-rich protein containing 700 to 3.000mg of leucine in evenly distributed amounts throughout the day (every 3 to 4 hours) for maximal muscle protein synthesis, including one dose after exercise and one close to bed time."
In multiple instances in this article, they point out studies show that catabolism upwards of 30% occurs when dietary protein consumption is unavailable, so spreading protein intake throughout the day, evenly, at nominal 25g amounts, helps avoid catabolism and supports growth instead.
They point out that BCAAs alone without the other EAAs are alone not enough to sustain maximum synthesis. This completes the picture but dietary BCAAs provide a clear role in muscle growth.
Sincerely, I don't like misinformation particularly when it comes without ready and viable sources, and it has the risk to mislead people on proper nutrition. If you have viable sources of competing information though, I'd enjoy learning from them or trying to understand the context in which they apply -- for example, some studies regarding diabetics, BCAAs, and insulin resistance, as you may encounter.

Not going to lie, despite fakespot and Review Meta giving the thumbs up to these reviews, they all sound like marketing people who work for the company. It's bizarre but it's cheap enough to give it a shot as I'm looking for a new electrolyte drink.
