First the price. 2.97 cents per gram for isolate is a good, but not fantastic price. They claim to have a few additions most competitors do not:
- They claim to boost their leucine content, adding an extra gram per serving, which could have value for gainz.
- It is sweetened with Stevia instead of Sucralose (for folks who care)
However, they claim to be mostly isolate. The first ingredient is isolate, and the second is natural flavoring. Sodium Caseinate is the third ingredient, which is also protein (casein).
The nutrition information looks more like a concentrate product than an isolate product. I would expect most isolates to be about 90% protein, maybe more, but this product is only 70% protein, consistent with most concentrate products. It could be that it is isolate and their natural flavoring is "bigger" than other brands, or there are other fillers. It also has 3.5g of fat, 3g saturated. Isolates usually filter most of this out - it could be not filtered out, or it could be added. I do not know.
Given the extra fat, calories, and flavoring in an isolate product, I would expect it to taste good (despite the stevia - I personally prefer sucralose). But, I'm far too much of a cheapskate to buy it.

But cholesterol is usually the giveaway for a concentrate. Odd that they dont put it on the label.
