60fps passthrough was a deal breaker for me. Got one with a bundle 3080ti and used it for 30 minutes before realizing it was a bottleneck.
I guess I should clarify, when recording and playing at 1440 it would only play at 60fps. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but, I could not record and play over 60fps at 1440.
That's the XR1--this is for the XR1 Pro. This product released last month.
The few reviews out there for the Pro have shown the new passthrough numbers working.
The passthrough number is misleading.
===========
It said it can do passthrough at 120Hz up to 1440p resolution. But you can't actually use the capture card while it does it. It effectively disables the capture feature when used.
The same effect would be delivered by unplugging your console from the capture card. This feature exists entirely so we can be lazy enough to not have to do that. If you were thinking this would be great to be able to stream with and still play your Series X at 120Hz, move along.

I had the same issue. This is very true. 120 passthrough is not available when capturing. 120fps passthrough is worthless if it doesn't work when capturing.

EVGA XR1 Lite is 50% off MSRP which is only $49.99. Likely meet most people need for recording/streaming at 1080P/60FPS while you game/play video at 4k/60FPS.

Will this make me a billionaire / trillionaire on Twitch?
yes, but be prepared to spend your whole life making tons of new twitch account to follow your main account. So to keep this short half your day is making a new twitch account and the other half your streaming whatever. Another plus is to set up as many virtual machines as you can, have all virtual machines stream to your main channel. Twitch favor a higher number of view so your stream will always be on top. Also, make sure you have a password manager you going to have so many twitch accounts hopefully by the end of your career you would have made a Million or more twitch accounts. I wish you, luck brother.

This $50 price for the XR1 Lite is available at Amazon and GameStop (and probably also newegg+best buy). I bought at GameStop to spend some trade credit and use a certificate
I bought and returned the XR1 lite when it struggled to work with my switch. I wasnt very happy with how that all worked out but the Amazon return was easy enough, it was 44.99 when I bought it.
I'm tempted to try this out but I'm just a bit hesitant. I didn't like using the software EVGA recommended (OBS studio I think) and just had problems getting it to work with the switch.
