60fps passthrough was a deal breaker for me. Got one with a bundle 3080ti and used it for 30 minutes before realizing it was a bottleneck.
I guess I should clarify, when recording and playing at 1440 it would only play at 60fps. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but, I could not record and play over 60fps at 1440.

That's the XR1--this is for the XR1 Pro. This product released last month.
The few reviews out there for the Pro have shown the new passthrough numbers working.

The passthrough number is misleading.

It said it can do passthrough at 120Hz up to 1440p resolution. But you can't actually use the capture card while it does it. It effectively disables the capture feature when used.

The same effect would be delivered by unplugging your console from the capture card. This feature exists entirely so we can be lazy enough to not have to do that. If you were thinking this would be great to be able to stream with and still play your Series X at 120Hz, move along.

Why not clone the signal to two HDMI / DP ports of the graphics card, then use one to record at 60FPS and the other can go to the monitor.

I don't Twitch honestly but the only ones that seem to be shared on other platforms do not match that demographic. But thankfully that opens a door....

Best Buy might have been the first to go live and now everyone is doing the same.

For being their newest capture card the steep price drop is either it's actual value or something is really wrong with this device.

Are you sure? Need to remember XR1 Pro just recently release last month. And in places like ebay, don't see XR1 Pro dirt cheap...

May be you are confuse this with XR1 Lite which right now onsale at around $49.99?

Or the previous poorly marketed model XR1 which they market it as support certain Pass Through mode but it doesn't actually support Pass Through mode as mentioned in their box. Or very confusing marketing of Pass Through mode and also capture (or can't capture) at the same time, etc.

I've worked as an actuary/data scientist. I would say away from looking at the top20.

If you're a male, you have practically 0% chance of making over a liveable wage streaming.

Otoh, if you're a cute girl, you can definitely make 40k plus easy if you're not lazy. I know lazy girl streamers that make a decent wage and they take weeks to a month off.
