Great price! If you're looking to get into the hobby, make sure you're willing to do some problem solving and tinkering. Sometimes things don't work as expected and that's normal. It's not for everyone.

There's a coupon for $10 off Inland filament inside the box. I had no issue opening the box before checkout to get/use the coupon. I bought a roll of black PLA+ and haven't had any issues with it as a brand new user.

I've got one printer and have been tempted several times to get a second haha. I inevitably am in the middle of a print when I get a good idea for another one. Patience is not an American virtue. 😆

My kid came in and announced he was getting a 3D printer . . . I put my foot down.

There is NO way I'm going back to unpaid calibration/replacement support/extruder servicing or going to open those books on Runic Casting EVER AGAIN.

If you're planning on running an OctoPi, then the screen upgrade can be skipped. The glass bed is a matter of preference, some people prefer the flexible beds that come with the Pro. The silent board is a major quality-of-life upgrade and the X/Y tensioners are a no brainer. If you get all the upgrades, you're still ahead.

I'm new to 3d printers and got it to print accessories for dust collection in my workshop as well as other custom pieces I may need in the future.

I bought this last time it was on sale and finally had the chance to set it up. There's several areas of adjustment but there are plenty of resource that are a google search away. Took me maybe an hour to view and make my own adjustments and I'm ready to print.

My advice is to not get overwhelmed with everyone talking about upgrades. I'm a casual printer, which is why I only wanted to spend $100. I'm assuming most getting this are in the same boat. Upgrades really don't seem necessary and the printer is fully capable without them.
