Great price! If you're looking to get into the hobby, make sure you're willing to do some problem solving and tinkering. Sometimes things don't work as expected and that's normal. It's not for everyone.

There's a coupon for $10 off Inland filament inside the box. I had no issue opening the box before checkout to get/use the coupon. I bought a roll of black PLA+ and haven't had any issues with it as a brand new user.

If you're not printing in the same room, I don't think you really need the V2. The biggest difference is really the noise. The only upgrade I'd probably suggest is getting a good glass bed on a V1. Every other upgrade isn't really necessary to get really good prints.

I started out with an original Ender-3, then got a CR-10 v2, then ended up buying 2 more used Ender-3's. I think I might have a problem. Smilie

If you're planning on running an OctoPi, then the screen upgrade can be skipped. The glass bed is a matter of preference, some people prefer the flexible beds that come with the Pro. The silent board is a major quality-of-life upgrade and the X/Y tensioners are a no brainer. If you get all the upgrades, you're still ahead.
These come with the 32 bit silent board, and the MeanWell power supply now.

Where are you getting used printers? People on craigslist and facebook market want basically retail value for their printers since they put in their upgrades and now want to dump it lol

It depends.. most people way overvalue everything they are trying to sell. Sometimes you'll find people just trying to get rid of stuff. The two used Ender-3's I got for $50 and $70. Both pretty much stock, but I did replace some parts that had a lot of wear on them.

But yes.. in general, you won't find those deals unless you get lucky sometimes.

Back in October, somehow managed to grab a new CR-10s Pro V2 for $320 from Newegg. I thought it wouldn't ship tbh. Then got one of these last Dec. Bought a CR Touch kit with springs, capricorn bowden tubes, and metal extruder. Also better flexible bed. Printed a bunch of mods. The Ender 3 Pro is loud! The silent board sounds intriguing but the other white noise from my CR-10s, PC, and dust fan normalize it. I gave away a printed Lombardi trophy at Super Bowl, turns out others wanted to buy them. So making 3 more, selling for $65 total. Filament cost about $6. Take some free Tinkercad lessons, learn to customize STLs, and start getting a return on your investment 👍🏽

I just got my first 3d printer this weekend. Dear lord, this is a fun hobby. I think my wife rolled her eyes at first, but I've already printed a few really useful things and she's had to admit, it's kinda awesome.

As a newbie coming into 3D printing, am I better off starting with one of these or spending the money on something like a FLSUN Speed Racer? I'm good with most design software and done my fair share of cad work. Thoughts are appreciated.
