The RP-160M is nearly identical to the RP-600M except for:

A slight change to the tweeter, the 160M has a "Titanium LTS Tweeter" and the 600M has a "Titanium LTS Vented Tweeter" (good luck telling the difference in a side by side test)
The 160M comes with an angled base that is great if you're placing the speaker on a flat surface and not a speaker stand.
The 160M is a few pounds heavier, which means it is built better than the 600m with higher quality materials.

Given the price difference between the two, you're way better off going with the 160M over the 600M. The only advantage the 600M really has is the walnut vinyl wrap.

The fives actually sound better than these. These will not have as much mid-base although they are very clear. Basically a semi-entry level bookshelf for klipsch.

Rp 600M is what you're looking for

If you follow the Newegg link they are paired with the RP-260F or RP-280F.

This one. The JBL 530s have a roll off in the higher frequencies. Klipsch will have the upper range energy for classical and jazz.

Yes. All this. The 600M is simply the replacement for the 160M. Most folks would never be able to tell the difference.

Try changing the stereo mode. I have several on my Denon, DTS, Multi Channel, etc

They are the same generation as the 280, but frankly will pair just fine with the 8000 for the vast majority of folks. 600M is the replacement for the 160M similar to the 8000 being the replacement for the 280.

Are these any better than the JBL Studio 530 for movies? They're basically the same price point with their sales.

You have to configure your system so that it knows there is a center channel. Either plug in the Audyssey microphone and run the calibration program or manually go into the setup menu under speakers and set center channel to yes.

It will not recognize you added a speaker just by connecting speaker wire if you never had a center speaker before. you need to run setup and calibrate it.

The real strength of this series of speakers is their ability to get loud with relatively low distortion for the price point. I would pick these even over many speakers costing much more if that was important to me.

Get these and drive them with a tube amplifier. It doesn't even need to be a crazy high-end tube amp just one of the modest, well built Chinese offerings sounds amazing on these. That said I'm not really a fan of the speaker on a low price receiver for music. Put them on a tube and they sound like a completely different speaker. Have not tried high end solid state yet but they are so efficient 20 watts of tube will fill the room
