Browsing thru all the stories and seeing some horror stories makes me wonder if this Pennzoil Rebate program is rigged. I'm sure most will get their rebate but if they do this to even 10% of the people they are cheating and making a bundle.
"Alright, so I called them and asked as I have two in "mailed" status.. It took 42 minutes to get this answer of holding but the lady who answered said that apparently, the vendor had a batch failure for a large group of rebates. She said 3/7 to 3/15 and they are resending them but they've not been told when the end-user will receive it but it should be very soon. I was wrong on my mail date it was actually the 8th because I had to resubmit the receipt(forgot about that). So if you turned to "mail" state from 3/7-3/15 you may be receiving it soon."

I have now spent close to an hour on two calls and the website in the hopes of getting back $50 which is not worth all the frustration "

Just for reference, I submitted the rebate at the beginning of March (1st week, forgot exact date)

There is a "participating locations" check that requires you to enter your zip code to see them. I tried mine and had quite a few local parts shops show up. I've read and re-read but am not sure if this applies to Amazon/et. al. This might be a show-stopper so apologies if it doesn't work for you.

Nobody has actually received their rebate yet since it's been less than a month. There's a bunch of impatient newbs at the end of that thread panicking even though it hasn't even been a month. Some SDers' rebate status has changed to "Mailed" as of March 8, so they should be showing up soon.
The fine print on the rebate says 'Allow 6 weeks' which about how long they usually take.
Last couple times I did the Pennzoil rebates, it was clearly known that they were going to be physical Shell gift cards.
