Don't torture your poor pet with a leaf blower to dry it. Use a damn hair dryer if you must.

Yes, this uses the same DeWalt 20v or 60v flexvolt battery as DeWalt's other tools. But this deal is for the tool only and does not come with a battery or charger.

I was told by a pal to only buy the 60V version. Any thoughts on this?

I got this model this past summer to replace the gen 1 that died six days after the 3 yr warranty...

It's noticeably more powerful - but maybe mostly from comparing my dying / dead one… and it is indeed loud. I find it uncomfortably loud when blowing out dust and leaves from the garage. It is still loud outside and has no problem with wet leaves n such.

It has good power when the battery is fresh. It will blow leaves quite a distance. At full power, you will get about 15-20 minutes useage from a 5Ah battery. Plan on buying more 5-6Ah batteries with chargers. For reference, I need 5 5Ah batteries to do my entire yard and driveway (about 1/2 acre). For noise, I just ran a quick check indoors with my Apple Watch noise meter. It said 90 dB. Definitely hearing protection range. Outdoors isn't as bad, I usually have Airpods in.
