Other then blowing leaves , debris around and drying cars and dogs, I can't figure out any other practical uses for blowers.

Depending on the type and amount of snow, they can be great for cleaning off cars, decks/patios, sidewalks and even driveways.

I used it the other day to help encourage my 13 yr old to clean his room.

You've gotta use your imagination my friend.

Are those not good enough reasons to own one? I have a gas powered backpack blower for leaves and am picking this up for blowing debris off the pool deck (rather than having to get the backpack blower out which is often too powerful for that need).

I don't need more reasons than those to justify these.

No it only fits price mistake tools. You'll have to wait for a price mistake blower to go on sale.

There's this cheap attachment out there to use in conjunction with a sprayer as a fogger for mosquitos and other bugs.

Other than cutting the grass I can't find another practical use for a lawn mower.

Other than cutting wood I really haven't found other practical uses for my circular saw either. Might as well get rid of it.

It has good power when the battery is fresh. It will blow leaves quite a distance. At full power, you will get about 15-20 minutes useage from a 5Ah battery. Plan on buying more 5-6Ah batteries with chargers. For reference, I need 5 5Ah batteries to do my entire yard and driveway (about 1/2 acre). For noise, I just ran a quick check indoors with my Apple Watch noise meter. It said 90 dB. Definitely hearing protection range. Outdoors isn't as bad, I usually have Airpods in.
Apple Watch has a decibel measuring tool?!

I thought Dewalt would be a good and relatable brand. My dewalt blower that was the same as this died soon after warranty period. It was barely used, maybe once a month to blow away leaves. It is wasn't as strong and the battery would drain quick. I kept 2 batteries around but now it's all a pile of junk. It should have lasted much longer.

If you've got a stack of 60v batteries or plan on getting into 60v tools, you may as well get the 60v version (it should run on 20v batteries as well. Run time will probably be still be short but you'll get more power out of 60v.
You have that backwards. 60v batteries will work on 20v tools, but 60v tools require 60v batteries and will not work with 20v batteries.

Don't torture your poor pet with a leaf blower to dry it. Use a damn hair dryer if you must.

How is this for drying cars?
This one is great for leaves and grass clippings. Kinda overkill for car drying, though it will work. I like the smaller centrifugal one for car drying as the tip is smaller and good for getting on the body lines and such.

Without saying what batteries you used in it makes a huge difference. Also there is another version of this as well with a lower power and CFM rating. Hope you know which model and weren't using 2Ah batteries on it.
