iBuyPower doesn't test their systems.
I have an iBUYPOWER from 5 years ago that's running great. Similar deal and price range. I upgraded the power supply and added another fan since it was getting a bit warm but overall the build was well done and it's been totally functional for me. Just my experience with the company, I'd buy from them again.
That's embarrassing how pitiful that build was.

How tedious would it be to buy this and transfer to a better case (like a Fractal Meshify)?

650w psu seems to small, doesn't 3070 need a 750w minimum?

I think you failed to realize that unlike Pre-Built Desktops from Lenovo, Dell, HP etc., this is built from all the off the Shelves components which you can buy from a store and then assembled by this company. So, you can use any components of this to a standard build by yourself.

Nah, you're thinking of the rtx 3070ti, link below. Max draw for the 3070 is 220W so a good 650w psu should be fine.

Seems to not have a lot of room to spare with the CPU.

it's on a mini-itx build, so upgrading CPU / MB to 12th Gen was gonna take a chunk anyways (not many mini-itx boards out there yet - reasonably priced anyways)

Anywho...hopefully this works out!
Give me your old bill please I'm on a 4690 and 1060

ibuy is running out of K processors. All their i7 configuration has only KF processors. Just in case scenario. Your card fails you would need onboard display. I am particular about it. Otherwise they always have good deals. cyberpowerpc too.

Upgradability , airflow there are some bottle necks with Dell machines if you are into gaming. Not like Ibuypower case is a top notch. There are far better cases like LIan li cool are available. But this is easily replacable. Dell's big plus is RAM. DDR5 RAMs are awfully expensive. DDR5 ram means they have ddr5 motherboard slightly better future proof though it is still a long way away. If you purely look at specs Dell's is a better deal. But you can tweak ibuypower a lot more than you do with Dell.

No. The Case is a cheap case. The motherboard is very basic. 2x8GB RAM price is cheap. Card, CPU you can't complain about it. CPU/GPU/RAM are the main things besides airflow to keep your CPU cool. If you are okay with the combination of these three you can safely buy it.

Anyone know why this is so heavily discounted? Is the case terrible for airflow? Seems odd that this pricing is so low. They using cheap components?
I'm using an iBuyPower with the 2070 super. I've used it almost 2 years now with 0 issues. I use it for Pro Tools, Video Editing and some gaming. I'm getting ready to upgrade but I'd definitely consider iBuyPower again.

You've got a really decent system already, I guess you'll get maybe 20% improvement tops. Honestly, I'd wait if I were you.

Spec wise it's a very appealing purchase.

I feel the primary cause for apprehension is the brand. They do use off the shelf parts, but they don't test the system and there have been a fair number or negative reviews regarding quality control.

For example, parts being damaged during shipping or poor construction, cases that increase heat internally,, graphics cards exhibiting shearing forces during shipment, missed screws or parts misaligned, builds not functioning on arrival, or parts from companies a builder might turn their nose at.

Granted, most prebuilds suffer from the above here and there and many buyers will find their basic needs met, but when buyers are spending $1000+ on a system, the expectations may be set higher and not match the product received. For example some buyers might be hoping for a mid to high level asus/msi/gigabyte motherboard but find themselves with an asrock motherboard. It will still function and may work like the other companies using their own motherboards like hp/dell , but its things like that.

I hear ya, but am really wanting to get out of the mini-itx setup. It's always a challenge to keep cool, and I was looking to either make changes to case and cooling options or change out mb/cpu/ form factor. Thinking this is a better path to take...can recoup a good deal of money reselling my current rig.
