Gpu will get full power with consecutive bios update(use 'G' button to get 115+15w boost)
It does have a mux switch after bios update
I suggest to change thermal paste if you can ,though its difficult as the board is inverted

The motherboard is in 2 pieces, with the heatsink/fans/CPU parts placed upside down and the RAM/SSD drive parts placed right side up for easy access.
The SSD unit is the 1 inch square type and not the 4 inch rectangular stick type.
The area for the second SSD drive is bare metal so you can't just plug in an extra SSD drive.
Nonetheless, it's still a good laptop.

At this price you'll only get 8GB, 500GB storage or a step down cpu/GPU.
This deal was only recently available through Microcenter in-store, which is hard to come by.
The cons of this laptop (and presumably why it's cheap) is because it looks ugly, build materials are very mediocre and thermals on this are very bad due to cheap thermal paste.

Can anyone comment on this? Is it because mobile/portable versions of these components are not as powerful, or is it simply the desktops or more in demand (for whatever reason...mining maybe?)
If I'm gaming or video editing and don't plan on upgrading or selling parts, would the laptop be just as good?
