Except productivity, Mac OS is incredibly limited with keyboard shortcuts (especially in MS Office apps, or switching between multiple files in the same app), application window sizing/scaling is also very limited as is multiple monitor support- but it depends on your end use

I'm going to be the guy that compares this to relatively recent thinkpad deals over Dec/Jan. Obviously you can't go back in the past and this is a decent deal if you need one now, but I do not feel this should be frontpage.

I got a t14s for $66 more with significantly better specs: ryz 7 pro, 32 gigglygoos ram, 1 tb drive, 500 nits touchscreen

I just retired a T420 that I was using since 2012 a couple of weeks ago and have been looking around for a replacement. This is a major upgrade for me and the price is right for the quality of machine you get. Thanks OP.

I would say yes, especially for a pro-grade laptop. ThinkPads are tanks, and as @Leftovers just noted, he used one for about 10 years. Only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is no touchscreen. After having one, I can't go back. I even bought a touch monitor for my desktop.

If you value build quality, and if you don't need a touch screen, this is a very good deal! I've been shopping for a work laptop for a while now (also replacing an older ThinkPad), and this was nearly my first choice. I ended up with a Yoga X1, which has a slightly nicer display, but it was nearly double this price.
