I bought this laptop around Black Friday. Upped the RAM to 64GB and plugged in a second ssd (2TB). Screen is amazing and the laptop is solid overall.

When not gaming, the fans can be set to silent. Battery lasts a long time. When gaming it gets pretty loud and hot, but that's to be expected. I wouldn't recommend it as a primarily gaming laptop, but it's great for content creation or other work.

How do OLED laptop monitors fare against burn in? I would asume the taskbar would be permanently on the screen? Can anyone comment?

Hi,
Thanks for your review. I'm really interested in this laptop and want to know if it has a MUX switch? GS66 models have mux switch but I don't know if it's available on the OLED screen.

I can't speak for this laptop as I've only had it for a few months. My previous laptop was an Alienware 13R3 also with an OLED screen. Burn in was never a problem and I used that laptop as my main computer for 4 years. I also own 2 OLED TVs. I think that the burn in issue is greatly overblown. The screen on the MSI is also very bright. I think that low max brightness is a bigger issue for OLED than burnin. As much as I like the OLED TVs, I wish that they were brighter.

There's no physical switch or anything. I'll check later if there's a BIOS option and let you know.

Thanks a lot! I heard that there maybe an option to turn off switchable graphics in advanced BIOS settings. Hope you can find something there.

I don't see anything remotely related anywhere in the bios, sorry.

No problem! Maybe the integrated GPU has to be enabled for the OLED screen. Thank you!

I bit on this deal. Even without the rebate which MSI is notorious for not honoring this is a solid deal on 11th gen laptop with a killer OLED. Ordered some G.kill ram and an ssd to install soon as I get this
