I have been on TF for a year now. I have absolutely no complaints. My Moto G power uses Verizon towers and it is so much better than my old sprint account. I haven't dropped or missed any calls. They sent a txt that I could unlock my phone after 7 or 8 months. I like the Moto phones, as for the price, you can't beat them. The camera is average or slightly above, but the battery life (5000) is amazing. I charge it about every 3 days with moderate use.

After you get the phone, Make sure to sign up for rewards and enter a referral code to get 5000 bonus points for free 5gb data, minutes and texts. After my initial purchase, I have not paid a dime in the whole year I've been with them.
Sounds helpful, do you know if this current deal will also need only this payment , no more ?

Can the sim card be taken out to be used on another iphone?
The SIM is 'married' to the device! No divorce allowed Big Grin You cannot move it to another device. SIM cards for TF/TW/ST-branded devices are tied to the device they came with. You cannot move them around.
The TF-branded devices currently sold by HSN/QVC have VZW/CDMA SIMs.

Not true. I moved the TF VZ SIM from the Moto G Pure to an unlocked phone just this week. Had to re-setup the APNs, but it's all working.

ust to be clear: you can use the HSN/TF sim to any unlocked or TF family phone (Total Wireless, Page Plus, Net10, Simple Mobile, etc.) and it works fine. That said, if you remove the sim from the HSN phone before 2 months, the phone will remain locked. Not a problem with some, but if one wants the phone to unlock at the 60 day mark, leave it in.

The Moto G Power with 4GB RAM & 64GB memory has been the best, lower priced version on TracFone for the past year. It was $100-$120 including a year, 1500/1500/1.5 data most of the year, before new customer $20 discount. A bit heavy, but the battery is great. I'm getting ready to re-up my year, with a newer, lower end Moto, but will definitely switch back to it. It's the best TF phone & deal to date, after 10+ years of annual HSN/QVC renewals, and phone upgrades. I'm hoping the recent sale of TF to Verizon doesn't interfere going forward. I won't go back below 4GB on any phone. The 64GB mem is great, too. Cameras are okay. This Pure is okay with 3/32, but a bit slow.

The reviews on HSN of this phone are pretty bad. Only 66% recommend it.
Perfect phone for call, text and checking emails, YouTube,,,. The phone isn't made for gaming.

This used to be true. Not so much anymore. Tracfone does not like you moving a Verizon SIM to a different phone, and might suspend the line as a result. You might get away with it, and you might not.

Yep. The CPU in that Helios G25 chipset is about as slow as you can get in a modern smart phone.
The 2020 Moto E with the Snapdragon 632 is almost twice as fast as the 2021 Moto G Pure with the Helio G25.

Interesting that the older Moto E is faster than a newer Moto G, when the G-series is supposed to be superior to the E-series?

I have the intention of using the TF SIM on an unlocked phone. It sounds like this may not work out. Frown

This is odd as I think TF also sells a SIM with the same 1500/1500/1500 plan.

Looks like the code doesn't work anymore.

So the deal is $70 rather than $50.

Wife and I both have that phone and love it
You and your wife are probably not very tech savy. This phone is one of the lowest end phones currently on the market. Performance is absolutely terrible due to the mediocre chipset manufactured by mediocre company Mediatek. This phone is only good for casual users that do nothing more than call, text, listen to music, watch videos, browse the internet, check emails, even then this phone barely even has usable ram. Android OS is a resource hog and 3gb of ram just doesn't cut it with modern Android operating systems. This phone can not even handle the slightest intensive apps & games.

Come on give them some credit. At least they are using a smart phone. Many TF users still like using flip phones lol.

Watch some old curmudgeonly guy come out of the wood work and say he doesn't care what other people think while he clips his send and end phone to his belt buckle.

I have bought several Tracfones from HSN. They have never unlocked until after a year. But then it was a simple call and they were unlocked.
Ditto for me.

Just an FYI. I got a Tracfone (TF) Moto Power G last month and have Total Wireless (TW). Took the sim out of my TW phone and put it in the TF phone. Worked fine... until my TW plan renewed. Then my new phone magically disappeared from my TW account and since it was primary, all of my family's phones were deactivated. Four hours of terrible customer-service phone calls later my phones were working again, albeit on a new TW account. Apparently, my phone auto-activated on TF either when my phone renewed on TW or after a certain period of time. They used to send a card for the plan that is bundled, now it's tied to the phone. Learn from my mistake and if you are using this on TW, activate it on TF first then maybe wait and unlock it after 60 days.
