These are the ones we use. We also have a larger unit on a small trailer.

Champion lists up tp a 34 hour max runtime on 20lbs of propane but it varies depending on load.
With that, I have found it simpler for storm prep to hit Ace for propane while everyone is in line at the gas station. I keep propane and gas on hand when a storm is coming, in case the propane runs out. I try not to use the gas since that generator is stored for extended periods of time. When the storm passes, the gas goes in the cars so there aren't any stale gas issues.
It really depends on your use. For mobility, carrying the generator and the propane for dual fuel is not convenient. For camping, you could hook to onboard propane but then you kill your onboard tanks. Which leaves the decision of whether to carry an extra tank.
I now have my large 10k backup dual fuel, a 2200w dual fuel which I don't use, and two gas Igen2400 that I use the most. It's a lot easier to throw some gas in them and just take the generator(s) if I need some mobile power. When I'm done I usually run them dry. They only get filled with ethanol free with stabilizer. They can be run in parallel if I need more than 2400, and theyre only 50lb each to move.
Also, if you're OCD like me, you'll find yourself going out of your way to avoid putting gas in the dual fuel generator for fear of fouling up, and it makes the "dual" convenience not so convenient. Just some things to consider. I was big on dual fuel fan at first, but enjoy the convenience of gas for certain applications.
If I didn't already have one this thing would be about ideal for me since at 3800 surge watt inverting you can run a ton of stuff keeping your fridge 1kwatt, computers 500 watt, tvs, fans, window AC 1200watt and everything going all the time. Not enough to run a whole house but enough to be pretty comfy when power is out.
