If you can afford it... Get hue smart lights. I have tried multiple cheap brands. Nothing comes close to hue. Reliability and connections are very stable compared to others.

More of an in stock alert but that said, THANK YOU I've been waiting for them to come back.

Edit: who downvotes a thank you and acknowledgement that this is Costco's normal price on these?

Interesting. Was just going to say the opposite. Numerous other brands at 1/2 the price that are just as good and reliable nowadays. And hue a little weak on the lumens. Ah well, will always be a big chunk of folks who follow the marketing.
Which brands do you specifically recommend?

The value is in the ecosystem. They work well and have easy to use reliable software.

Depends...If you're talking about the Caseta line, its definitely not recommended with the dimmers as HUE lights need 100% power and are not dimmable via voltage.

They do work great with the Lutron Aurora dimmers made for Hue where you "lock" lights in the on position and use the rotary dial to dim the lights.

Got this deal the last time to do a fresh installation of lights, was a little peeved that Hue doesn't make a simpler "clip" in version like most of the newer style recessed lights. They did work well in the EnviroLite 6 in. LED Recessed Housing Remodel Can I got at home depot. The 4" Hue downlights version and the 4" cans are a tight fit and I'm not sure If I'll be able to get it out again....

Just ordered 3 packs to replace the rest of my recessed lights. I don't use the screw-light bulb sockets, instead, I cut off the old bulb socket and hard wire them using wago 221 lever nuts.

I know these are expensive, but I'm committed to the hue ecosystem, and to me, it's worth it.

I don't believe we have brands that match the convenience of hue bridge. They make wifi management so easy.

Agree with both comments actually

Hue bulbs aren't the brightest w/colors

Otherwise no complaints….
