This is a very entry level wheel that use gear system, a belt system will be a better system to go TBH.

the motherboards on these are known to randomly stop working and they are almost $100 to replace. never again.

It's difficult to find anything significantly better than G29 in sub $300 price range. The next up will be the entry level belt drive wheels like Thrustmaster TX, but it will cost you twice as much. It can easily go north of $1000 for a decent mid-high range wheel.

If you just want to dip your toe in the water to see if you like racing games, G29 is actually a decent choice, before you invest more to your setup.
