I wonder if after 6 months it will get auto unlocked as some people say...
It should Auto Unlock. The issue comes if you use an rsim. No one really knows if the rsim 'unlock' will mess with the unlock timer. I think I read someone mention something about it resetting and not getting it unlocked due to using rsim. I have to read a few threads to find the post.

I did a metro promo back in 2020. Will the in store agent be able to see this?

Might just go to an authorized store. Corp stores are like 40 minutes away

No they won't see that. Do the same store.

They said you need to activate for 95 days, otherwise your phone will blocked
We don't care, just trade them in at Gamestop for cash or Samsung for $500 to $800 off toward the S22.

Anyone know if this is viable at non-corporate stores? I don't have any corporate stores within 200 miles of me.

Would it be a waste of my time to try and go through an authorized dealer?

Very YMMV. Often they add other charges for insurance, tax on the full amount or even refuse the deal at AD. However in the other thread some had. No issues at AD.

No any number from T-Mobile network in past 180 days.
From promo terms:

"Excludes numbers currently active on T-Mobile or active on Metro in past 180 days."

So Mint, Ultra, whatever MVNO qualifies.

This is a great deal!
Ported 2 numbers
out the door about $175 each iPhone 11
I've had bad experiences in the past with metro and boost authorized stores but the girl at this store was very nice. She did state I needed the insurance but whatever, the deal is too good to pass up.

The data speeds on this rate plan are actually good.

I was tacked on the insurance for two XR's I had got at Metro before too. I wonder if it can be asked for it to not be included or if they would keep insisting it's required.

From my experience and reading other user experiences, it's kinda "take it or leave it" when it comes to these prepaid companies. It also seems like authorized stores push this more as a requirement instead of a corp store.

I personally rather get the deal than argue $12 per phone and almost guarantee that I won't get the deal.
