Buying a money order with the gift card essentially gets the cash off the gift card. Take the money order to your bank and deposit it. I had issues adding the gift card to my Paypal and Venmo which is why I went the money order route. My cash offer from GameStop was $140 less than the visa gift card. Most grocery stores and even Walmart offer money orders. Swipe the giftcard as debit and enter a pin number and you should be good to go.

I think the tax is on $500 so 100 + 7% or whatever your state tax is + 60 + 20 = 215 approx

Question -

Do I HAVE to go to a corporate store for this deal? Would it make a difference if I went to an authorized dealer?

ADs can do this deal and many do. The problem is many of them add additional taxes, fees and mandatory insurance. Usually the lowest OTD price is from a corporate store.

Looks like you opened 2 lines w/ discounted plan price of $45 each. The rep then must have added $12 insurance for the phone, which many of us happily paid for as that's how your rep get his/her commission.

The insurance can be removed immediately online but will not be refunded. It will be applied as a credit to the next month's bill. The stores corporate or dealers won't sell the phone without the insurance. The rep at a corporate store claims that it's "mandatory", which is BS. Very shady practices, even at a corporate store. The corporate store doesn't charge an activation fee so I guess the insurance fee is their activation fee. I wonder if this can be reported to the FCC.

I wanted to port 2 but was able to port 1 only today. If I can port in another number several days later, will the monthly charge be $60 each, or be combined for $90/two lines?
I had bought second phone added as second line on primary after a week of purchasing first one. Total billing was 90.

Thanks. I wouldn't mind paying for the insurance, but the rep never told me that she added insurance fees. And my experience was terrible with this saleswoman and her manager. She added two screen protectors and two adapters after I ported in my numbers. Long story short, I finally received a $120 check from T-Mobile for the cost of the accessories because I filed complaints with the BBB, FTC and DCA. Normally, I wouldn't waste this amount of time on a $120 loss, but the saleswoman and her manager didn't respect me and pissed me off. It's a corp store.

$120 for two protectors and 2 adapters?
those reps were definitely taking advantage.
In past deals, I usually had reps inflate the price of deals which made me not proceed

with this deal, the rep was nice and she told me she would add insurance. I didn't mind since at around $150 each iPhone 11 it's a good price.

Just imagine how much these reps get away with on unsuspecting customers on a daily basis.

That's why all their deals are in-store only so the reps can tack on these "required" accessories and fees. There's a reason MetroPCS is called GhettoPCS. All their locations (even corporate stores) are in poor neighborhoods and their target market is poor and uninformed customers. If the reps see that they are not going to make any money from a customer, they will say the phone is "out of stock".

I have a line with cricket that is almost up
Sounds like a good deal
$110 plus whatever fees they charge.
Corp stores seems rare here in jersey
Boost mobile has iphone 11 for $350 with just 35 or 50 dollar plan and no rebates or anything.
