  1. Visit a participating corporate store location (strongly recommended, as pricing/fees can vary at non-corporate 'authorized dealer' locations).

  2. Port-in a non-T-Mobile/T-Mobile-based MVNO (i.e. Mint Mobile) number to a new line on Metro's $60/month prepaid plan
    • Number must not have been active on the T-Mobile network within the past 180 days.
  3. Purchase 64GB Apple iPhone 11 at sign-up for $99.99 (applicable sales tax will be due at time of sign-up)

Buying a money order with the gift card essentially gets the cash off the gift card. Take the money order to your bank and deposit it. I had issues adding the gift card to my Paypal and Venmo which is why I went the money order route. My cash offer from GameStop was $140 less than the visa gift card. Most grocery stores and even Walmart offer money orders. Swipe the giftcard as debit and enter a pin number and you should be good to go.

I think the tax is on $500 so 100 + 7% or whatever your state tax is + 60 + 20 = 215 approx

i got iphone 11 from this deal. Anyway to use on xfinity. Can i unlock through ebay or would RSIM work on these ? TIA

Currently, the soft unlock sim are not working. There might be new ICCID codes in a few days or maybe Apple have finally patched the exploit. You can try the "premium" unlock services on ebay but those are pretty expensive. You might as well buy an unlocked iphone 11 directly from Apple. You will have to use the phone on Metro for 6 months to unlock. Some have reported that the phone will unlock after 6 months without continuous service. YMMV

Yes, all the plans qualify. If you downgrade to the $30 plan, it would be free with the ACP credit.

$60 plan is not required for GC. I downgraded to $30 plan on month 2 and just got $50 GC.

How long you have to keep service to get rebate card. ? I just ported out thinking too expensive to keep line active just for $100 gift card for two lines.

I used a white rsim 13 from eBay about 2 weeks ago on one of these and it's still unlocked right now. YMMV

Nice! I also downgraded to the $30 plan and wasn't expected to get the $50GC. Will see if I also get it in 2 months. Did you get a text or email about the GC? Is it virtual or a physical card?

You need to have service for 3 months. It was assumed that the $60 plan was needed for 3 months. But after reading the terms again, you only need to be activated on the $60 plan and after the 3rd months payment, you get the GC. So it might not be necessary to keep the $60 plan for all 3 months. Most people here probably just wanted the iphone only. Even on the $30 plan, you would have to pay $60 more to get back $50. $10 for 2 months of service is pretty good though.

There are no new ICCID codes so don't factory reset your phone and turn off the auto updates or it might get locked again.

Finally after trying various stores around me(none r corporate stores), found a store where they had in stock. I got 4 phones (2 iPhone 11s after porting num and 1 Nokia x100 and 1 moto g 5g stylus) for 440 OTD

Will wait n see if they get unlocked after 6 months

Androids yes, they get auto unlocked based on past experience. Not sure about iPhones tho

and Yes, 3 month payment to get the 50gc. I think I have seen posts by other members within this thread that they downgraded the 60payment plan to 30 thereby paying only 90(in total) for staying 3months and getting the 50gc

Currently, a few have reported that metro does unlock the phones dafter 6 months with only 1 month of paid service. Their current unlock policy is 180 days after activation; it didn't mention anything about continuous service. But that can change at any time.

Unless you need phone service, the $50 GC is not worth getting. Even if you downgrade to the $30 plan, you are paying another $60 to get back $50.
