This is a really really great dollar to gameplay value. Especially on Bioshock. Those games are just gorgeous and run beautifully on the switch.

Save the earth and $2 but not making a useless plastic case.

Could be worse though, not sure if you recall the amount of packing PC games had in the 1990's. You could almost build a house with the box and contents!

I bought this at this price on Black Friday last year, but ended up returning it unopened. I forced myself to be honest with myself. FPS on Switch in handheld mode (which I primarily use) is just not very good. The thumbsticks, button layout, and ergonomics detract from any game that requires constant use of the right thumbstick. This is my personal opinion. Switch Pro Controller would be great for this, but that would be docked play.

I felt like Borderlands played very well on the Switch. The button layout was much better than the PSVR on a standard controller (could never get used to any of the mappings). Now, the with the Aim controller on the PSVR the game was next level.

Did you use gyro aiming? Did that help?

I recognize a lot of this is just down to the size and shape of my hands (very large). It never feels comfortable for me to hold the Switch in the position that facilitates accessing the right thumbstick and right buttons at the same time. I wish the sides of the joycons were diagonal or something instead of up and down.

Thank you for the response. I am still tempted to buy this.

On the Switch? Honestly at that point I hated gyro aiming but since I stopped playing Borderlands on the Switch I have really started to like it. On the PS4 it was the controller layout that was an issue for me. Every scheme seemed really weird and backwards compared to other FPS's.

I too have that issue but might hands might be slightly smaller than yours but run on the larger size. The Switch Split Pad Pro looks great compared to the factory joycons for that exact reason however the lack of rumble is a deal breaker for me.

One thing that also helped me was a dockable hard case that had grips on the back my fingers could wrap around. I had one on my V2 Switch but bought a different style when upgrading to the OLED version and regret it as my hands have less to hold on to. The downside of that style case is your Switch will most likely not fit in normal carrying cases.

I loved it, Borderlands is a lot of fun and is super easy to pick up / put down. If you stop playing for a month you won't forget your next objective and be stuck trying to figure out what to do.

To me, I'd suggest buying the physical version of this Borderlands collection as it frequently hits the $15 mark. Borderlands 2 is a physical cartridge so if you did not like it, you could always sell the set for full price (assuming you did not activate the other two games) for almost the same price or maybe more.

Bioshock on the Switch? That was not bad but felt like a chore to play. I kept picking it out of habit but I would never say I enjoyed it.

Have you tried Satisfye zengrip? It is asymmetric to accommodate the inconvenient position of right thumb-stick. I never play 3D games without satisfye. It's a game changer.

Thanks! It's hard to argue with $15 for all this content with the "switch port" tax on top. I wonder how long the sale is going on? Kind of debating on getting a second copy.
