I see this comment a lot and someone below who says no scale is accurate. I'm curious what the expectations are here? Everyone knows that we all have weight fluctuations throughout the day right? I can vary about 5lbs given my water intake, water retention, pooping, eating etc.

I find that this scale is just as accurate as any other I've used outside of a Dr.s scale. Certainly good enough to see if my efforts in the long term are working for gains or losses.

The measurements besides #s are going to fluctuate even more of coarse. There is no way any instrument is going to measure what they claim using electrical resistance. It's a guestimate made by an algorithm. But again, this can still provide some insight in the long run.

For the $$$ it's nice enough to be able to track my # automatically over time.

Been using it to track metrics after I hydrate in the mornings since I restarted my workout regimen and its been working. Scale is accurate, but Im looking for something that gauges body fat PERCENTAGE, not the generalized (and possibly outdated) BMI method.

I've used the earlier version of this scale and also have the renpho one. These cheap bluetooth scale are very inaccurate. Just coz they show the numbers does not mean it's the correct measurement for you. While no one is expecting the accuracy of MRI or DEXA or CT scans these should atleast be in the ball park range else what is the reason for owning one which throws random numbers. Just coz you drank water or wore a heavy jacket resulting in the total weight increase should not be a cricteria to increase you body fat. Most of these scales mathematically compute the numbers based on generic age n height based body weight charts than actually measuring the body impedence. Additionally, since these do not use any handheld touch points the upper body impedence does not count much as the electric impluse takes the shortest path and just travel from one leg to another.

It should be fine if you are buying it for checking your weight. Don't count seriously on the other measurements though.

Caution: those with pacemakers or other electrical implants should not use these kind of devices

I love this scale in my journey for my weight loss. It gives me a lot of information of my weight, bmi, water, protein etc. I have found it accurate and I love the pet feature for my cats, unfortunately I can't lift my Great Danes haha!

I bought this scale a few months ago for $30 on Amazon. I replaced a $150 Withings "Smart Body blah blah" scale that was a total piece of crap. This scale is every bit as good. Works well with iOS
