One thing that hasn't changed in the 40+ year history of consoles is that the cheap third party controller like this one here is the one you give your friends little brother when your parents force you to let him play too.

At least now he can look at Pikachu's unimpressed face as his drifting joystick and mushy buttons have him fly off the screen in smash Brothers

I actually have a couple of these wired controllers, in a different pattern, and they are really well built for 3rd party controllers. The buttons feel great and the analog sticks work really well. I actually like the analog sticks better that the switch pro controller I have. It doesn't have a gyro sensor in it, and it is super light weight, but these are a surprising good buy for the money. Also the cord is detachable and longer than you would think which is good for me.

Oh and I have been pc/console gaming since the 80s, so I have had my fair share of controllers.

You can use it with PC like a wired Switch controller meaning it will mostly work in Steam, but it will take some effort otherwise. It will not work with Xbox. For something intended to be use primarily on a PC, this is not the best option in my opinion.

Power A makes an Xbox version of this controller. I think it's usually a little more expensive.

PowerA Switch controllers have been known to be pretty decent for the price but are not immune to drift or other problems. You'll probably get a few months without problems or hopefully longer if you're lucky. Being able to use as a controller for PC is a nice feature alongside the detachable cable.

One thing I gotta say, they're on point with the designs and this Pikachu one is very cute and they deserve kudos for the colors.

I'm personally wary due to the eventual issues with drift.
