These games were great 20 years ago, but I have played 30+ SW games since, and I really think there's better fare out there for your time. The graphics are super outdated and there's no multiplayer community to speak of.

If you're interested in wielding cool powers, The Force Unleashed (at any price) is a more modern experience and a very satisfying narrative. For multiplayer, the Battlefront games have come a long way.

If you want to share this with your kid to share your nostalgia, it could be a good buy.

I respectfully disagree.... What keeps KOTOR relevant is that it's a better Star Wars story than anything put out since 'Return of the Jedi', and has amazing choices and consequences (for an RPG that doesn't let you soft-lock the story).

Mods make it more palatable with improved graphics and extend the game with new content, however I guarantee even without them, it's still played on the regular by fans.

....damn it, now I want to replay it again...

Not to mention no mods on consoles. That's what makes the PC versions of KOTOR 1 and 2 relevant today. So nice being able to modify feats, force powers, and character models.

Might be good to satisfy a nostalgic want, but since when are nearly 20 year old ports worth this much?

Loved these when they first came out back in the day. Recently replayed on PC with kids and they enjoyed it. Still would never pay this much for games this old without upgraded graphics at least.

I had a 10:1 kill ratio for a year in college until I realized I was just doing the same thing for hours every day and that other games existed. I played Galaxies until it started to get good, then quit after killing the first jedi on the server. Really nowhere to go from there.

I feel like these games were so much better using mouse and keyboard, but I don't know, I'm one of those people that prefers a mouse for any fps.
