Dells are full of proprietary parts, non-standard form factors and power delivery, makes maintaining and upgrading nearly impossible.

For $160 more the Costco 3060ti system from a while back (maybe a month?) with 32 GB seems like a much better deal

" Xtreme VR " is a stretch too. I'd call a 3070 or better "really good VR", and 3080 extreme.

I saw this deal this morning but I keep going back and forth between picking this up or waiting to buy into a Intel 12th gen set up. The jump in performance looks worth it for a 12th gen Intel but for 1440p gaming and basic photo editing on Adobe Lightroom, I'm thinking this would be still a great PC.

This vs the Dell? Similar price, similar GPU overclockable i5 vs locked i7

I've been researching a suitable desktop to get back into editing with Premiere Pro and gathered the i5 12th gen with an RTX 3060 is just about the best bang for your buck at the moment.

We always complain about waiting for prices to drop with new processors on the horizon but with the 12th gen being such an improvement it does make waiting a bit tempting.

How much of a jump is the memory ddr5 ? I picked up the ibuypower of from other day with 3070 & i7 12th gen but z series mobo only supports ddr4 .it has 16gb (8*2) & at some point I plan to add 16*2 but sadly it wouldn't be ddr5 and I don't know if I can swap the mobo itself that's too much work even if it were possible

I got one of these about 6 months ago. They gave me a B series motherboard for a K chipset.

Ease of returns hands down amazon, plus I'm sure you could purchase a extended warranty for not too much, I've used their extended warranties 4 times and had zero issues

You're not going to find a need for ddr5 for quite awhile I think. Right now, it's prohibitively expensive and the gains won't justify the investment. 2-3 years from now, maybe

Wait, jump in performance is like you said worth it. Besides, things could change I'm the future with what you will do. Knowing the fact you have the latest, at the time, will give you brownie points as well.

What does this mean? I googled K vs B series and all I got was Honda engines.
