The 34" qd-Oled version of this monitor (AW3423dw) is coming out in march for $1300. Might be worth considering.

If only this had the PBP / KVM features that the Dell U3821 model comes with. Darn.

I found this article that touches on the differences. I was curious myself. https://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/ar...-ultimate/

I'm sure the qd oled will be amazing with the colors and the black coverage but don't forget this is still 38 inches. Not sure when or if a oled 38 version of this will ever be as low as $1200 (or $800 with Dell 10% + AA 10%) - so if you can stack it's 100% a crazy deal.

Keep in mind that Samsung, asus, and LG has 120hz 4k oleds coming out very very soon at 40 and 42 inches but not sure what the price will be

Remember there a cash back site offering 12% rn.
Amex has two offer that you might be targeted for a spend 599 get 120 back and a 10%.
Chase has a 5% back. Dell allows split payment. So its possible to utilize multiple.
Also dell reward for 3%

I'm waiting for the 34 inch QDoled i really hope it dont disappoint because if not this deal is crazy.

Alienware is already releasing 34" of this as QD-OLED next month for $1300. 38" QD-OLED likely to come this year too.

Proceed with caution unless you desperately need a monitor.

Man, I love the specs, but I'm really not into that gamer aesthetic. If Dell could just take the guts of the AW3821DW and put it into an U3821DW frame it would be an instant buy for me.

Edit to add: that you can get an extra 10% off if you sign up to the newsletter here:

Didn't think it would work but it did. Took an extra $120 off for me.

I have this monitor and the only "gamer" thing you see from the front is the Alienware text on the bottom. All of the LEDS can be disabled too. I have my monitor on an arm and you really can't tell it's a "gaming" monitor.

Now if you see the back of it on a regular basis, I could understand. I never see the back of mine since my desk is up against a window.
