Eve spectrum is $800 + $100 if you want the stand + I believe I saw it was over $100 for shipping and it can take 4 months to arrive. Imo that is not worth it just to get hdr 600 given you can get this monitor for $545 - $100 from honey. You can buy two of these for the price of that, I would wait for a much better deal if you really want hdr600. Not to mention eve is dodgy af
100% if i could go back in time, i'd have waited and bought TWO of these for the price i paid for the Eve, haha. at that time, i was looking at this particular samsung model which was normal price ($799) as well as the LG 950 (which was OOS everywhere), so for me, it was worth the extra cash to preorder and take that chance. i do think the Eve is better than this monitor, but not twice the price better.

I'm still seeing $649 after logging in via employee program. Is it because my company sucks?

Same here. But can't complain since it's still a stellar monitor for the price

The deal is dead.

This monitor appears to be on sale for 649.99

If signed into EPP/EDU, it appears to drop down to 545.99 with free shipping. About $42 cheaper than the last time this hit the front page.

You might also be able to save 5% with the Samsung cancel deal.

Bigger isn't always better but the 32" was $500 around Christmas. The other problem with Samsung was quality. Lots of reviews mentioned product defects (bad pixels, etc.). not thread crapping but just telling you what i know. i ended up buying an LG (those are very popular in this price range).

GAMING IMPORTANT POINT, not many have a video card that can even properly drive 4k video monitor (needs to be 3070/2070 or better so you have decent frame rates from what i read). Most don't have this kind of system.

Had this for 2 weeks, didn't like the contrast. The backlight was terrible, 8 huge sections across the monitors.

On a pixel to pixel basis those two monitors are pretty similar. Similar contrast, response time, uniformity and color volume.

If we're using the S2721DGF as our basis, then ~$440 seems the right price for the G70a. 160ppi/109ppi is 1.47 x $300 is $441. So, EPP matched with $100 Honey is a matching deal.
Point taken as far as stats go but 300 is less to get the job done for a few months until a decent deal shows up on M2 or Spectrum or others out there but once we get to 500 + territory,
1) Better options are available from 600$
2) G70a is not a unit to hold you by while waiting for another deal with better HDR since we are closer to 600$ point.
