Have 2 of these. Battery lasts about 3-4 months before needing a 4 hour recharge. App works great. Stick a 32gb micro SD card on the wireless chime portion and you won't need a cloud subscription. I got them because they work well without having to pay a monthly fee. Simple to set up as well.

I've had this for about a year now. Battery lasts a very long time but you have to mess with the settings for optimal performance. When someone rings the bell it works immediately, but half the time when people walk by and trigger the video, there is delay in the notification. Overall I like it though.
Do these integrate with Nest Hubs, Shield, etc. to display the image when a doorbell is pressed?
I've already got security cameras and the vantagepoint from a doorbell would be pretty bad in our situation. So I really just could use the basic video doorbell functions when pressed.

Yeah i have the same issue with mine. Eventually I just turned off the notification option.
I guess that answers whether mine is just a defective unit. I have opened a ticket with them and included one of the event videos that was just rain. Hopefully they can figure out a workable detection scheme
